Justin Timberlake has found his next film project, signing to star alongside Benicio del Toro in the new thriller Reptile.

Netflix has picked up the worldwide rights to the Black Label Media project, according to Deadline, which del Toro had already aired.

Video director Grant Singer will make his directorial debut with Reptile, working from a screenplay he co-wrote with Benjamin Brewer (The Trust).

The story follows the horrific murder of a young real estate agent, with del Toro playing the “hardened detective” assigned to the case.

The plot follows the detective as he tries to find out the truth in a case where nothing is as it seems.

Along the way, the detective “finds himself dismantling the illusions of his own life,” according to the description.

Molly Smith, Trent Luckinbill and Thad Luckinbill produce for Black Label Media, co-producing Seth Spector of Black Label Media.

Benicio Del Toro will also act as executive producer of the film, alongside Rachel Smith.

No production program was given to the film and it is unclear when it will finally be released on Netflix.

Timberlake comes out of his movie Palmer, which debuted on Apple TV Plus in January.

He also recently signed on to portray the late Chuck Barris in an adaptation of the television series of his controversial Confessions of a Dangerous Mind “unauthorized autobiography.”

The book was published in 1984, claiming that while doing TV shows like The Gong Show, he also worked as a CIA assassin in the 1960s and 1970s.

del Toro leaves No Sudden Move for director Steven Soderbergh, who debuted on HBO Max on July 1st.

The following will be seen as part of the talented set of Wes Anderson’s new film The French Dispatch, in theaters on October 22nd.

He also stars in next weekend’s All-Star Week, starring director-writer Jamie Foxx.
