The legacy of great artists never dies. This is the case of Joan Gabriel, The diva of Juárez, who already passed five years of his death and continues more effective than ever.
There are several projects that promise to keep fans of Joan Gabriel for one more time. The first announcement made it known Diego Verdaguer, Friend of the artist, who announced that on August 27, to pay tribute to the day that marks five years since his death, will release an unreleased track that they co-wrote, which headlined: ‘The sun has already risen‘.
‘The theme is a tribute to the noble intention I met of Joan Gabriel, people know his songs and other things about him, but not everyone knows his intention to help others,’ Verdaguer said in an interview which gave in the middle EFE.
In the other hand, Guillermo Pous, Legal representative of Iván Aguilera universal heir of the Mexican composer, confirmed that during 2022 will be released two albums complete with duets that Joan Gabriel recorded with other artists and never came to light. These are ‘Duos 3’ and ‘Duos 4’.
“Plans have come a long way with the label and publisher to announce, initially, the two albums that were pending and that Don Alberto himself had on his desk,” said Pous in an interview with the newspaper El Universal.
But that’s not all, Pous said they will ‘see also if the theme of the museum is taken up, which is the most advanced’. In addition to ‘a circus-style musical staging of a show for the whole family set to music by Don Alberto’.

When all these projects materialize, it is very likely that more issues will be gathered that have been left in the inkwell. In addition, it is planned to produce a new series that talks about the life of the Divo de Juárez.
Five years after the death of Joan Gabriel
It is very close to the fifth anniversary of his death. During this date official events will be held in his honor. While it is not yet clear what is going to take place, what is certain is that a Mass will be held in his honor as every year.
