Good games don’t die, they just get old. Halo 3 it’s a very good (and yes, very old) game that was released in 2007. But 13 years later it’s still getting new maps. This time, 343 Industries adds a remake of a classic Halo 2 map a Master Chief Collection version of Halo 3.

Yesterday, in a post about the officer Halo Waypoint forums, 343 set out all the new changes, additions and features that will be part of it MCC Public flight of season 8. One of the big news that is added is Icebox, a new map for Halo 3.

Icebox is a snowy remake of Lawn of Halo 2 and is located in the Russian city of Tyumen. This new level is coming Hello online, a game now only closed online developed by Saber Interactive built with a modified version of the Halo 3 engine. It was released only in Russia in 2015 via a closed beta version and is no longer updated. This is not the first time 343 has retrieved content Hello online. In April, the Hello online map The waterfall was taken Halo 3.

In addition to the new map, this upcoming public test flight will also add to the classic Halo Combat Evolved HUD with 4k supportort and the option to turn it off and collect new campaigns Halo 3. What does it mean? I’m not sure. 343 hasn’t shared any details. It could be connected to the next one Halo Infinite? May be!

343 also announced that there were more options for Halo 3: ODSTs Firefighter game mode arrived in this test. The study also mocked that The Flood could be added to wave-based horde mode using a single screenshot.

You can read the full post to see everything else, large and small, which 343 plans to add in this test flight. Note that although all of these things will eventually be added MCC, some things may happen in later seasons and updates.

Remember when Master Chief Collection was it an embarrassing mess, mostly broken, when it first came out in 2014? How things have changed.
