After more than six hours of meeting, the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) confirmed yesterday that they will participate in the national dialogue where a series of reforms will be announced, which the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, spoke about in his speech of the past 18 August after fulfilling a year in the command.
The Political Committee announced the names of its representatives in the Economic and Social Council (ESC).
The general secretary of the purple party, Charles Mariotti, will be the coordinator of the commission and the other members who will be in the dialogue are Cristina Lizardo, Karen Ricardo, Francisco Javier García, Rafael Pau and Juan Ariel Jiménez, all these are the commissioners of the ‘Legal Committee of the political party, those who will be in the conversation scheduled for today.
Mariotti stressed that this Monday “the party will draw the front line in terms of our attendance at this dialogue.”
All these statements were offered at the National House of the PLD and in the presence of the former president, Danilo Medina, and attended by 40 of 45 members, five of whom apologized as Margarita Cedeño, Abel Martinez, Carlos Amarante Baret, Gustavo Sánchez and Rubén Darío Creu.
