The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a popular game that millions of people still play a decade after its first release. And thanks to the modifications and user-created content, some have spent years of their lives playing this game. Bethesda’s insistence on re-launching the iconic RPG will probably not help anyone escape SkyrimNor is it vice. Thus, a modder created an outlet for those who could not stop playing. The mod, NoSkyrim, makes the Bethesda RPG unplayable once installed.

Made by ThatLittleCommie, this is literally nonsense mod does. Do not add additional characters, new weapons, or copyrighted content, such as lightsabers or Thomas the Tank Engine. You install it and after that you can no longer play Skyrim. Instead, it crashes. The following explains how the creator of the modification describes it.

“Have you ever felt like the game where you spent your money earned should be eliminated and not playable, so can I. Now, with NoSkyrim, instead of being able to start a new game like the majority Skyrim players, you just can’t. “

The modification was originally uploaded to the popular modding site Nexus mods. But since then it has been removed for unclear reasons, but probably easy to guess. I bet on a modification that just breaks Skyrim and makes it impossible to play is not something the people running the site want in their modification repository. Kotaku has reached Nexus mods about the withdrawal and whether NoSkyrim will ever return.

Currently, if you want to download this silly mod, you can find it at LoversLab.com, which is a uh … more adult modding site. It seems that the people of LoversLab it doesn’t matter if a Skyrim mod breaks the game and makes it unplayable.

As you saw PCGamer, the modification currently has a file Change.org request that people can sign up to support their reading Nexus mods. As of this writing, it had about 350 signatures. Meanwhile, a subreddit dedicated to the mod and its return to the Nexus site has also appeared. It has just over 260 members. The message above is a smiling image of Todd Howard, Director and executive producer of Bethesda. Other posts include people lamenting the removal of the modification, as it was the only thing preventing them from playing the ten-year-old open world RPG. (These posts are jokes, if you haven’t heard yet.)

For now, it looks like NoSkyrim won’t be back Nexus mods. It’s a sad day for people who can’t uninstall a video game or who don’t have self-control. Meanwhile, Bethesda is still announcing the ports of Skyrim in 2021. I wonder if the last port will work (or stop working) with the NoSkyrim mod?
