Natural and skeptical healer of the Mohammed Shaar virus at Sydney hospital with COVID-19, say their loved ones

A man who claimed that he could cure people with diseases and that COVID-19 was not real is now fighting for his life after contracting the virus.

Mohammed Shaar, a Muslim preacher and natural healer, had spent weeks preaching that vaccines were ineffective and that the pandemic was a myth.

“I’m a little more concerned about what’s going on in Sydney and why they’re targeting these specific areas: Guilford, Yennora,” he said in a video to his fans, before adding, “I’m against the vaccine.”

Last week he became ill and closed the healing center to try to recover at home, writing on Facebook: “I am currently very ill for a few days with common cold … not COVID-19.”

Five days later he was taken to the hospital where he remains. His loved ones say he is wrong with the COVID-19 Delta strain and have asked his followers to resent him.

A follower suggested he drink hot lemon water.

“Science is very clear”

NSW Deputy Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon said on Tuesday that “the medical profession is a profession for a reason.”

“Science is very clear, COVID exists. Unfortunately, we see that there are too many sick people in society, “he said.

“Please listen to the medical profession, who are the ones who know the answer.”

The Australian network of Muslim health professionals is also asking COVID deniers to think again.

“On behalf of all Muslim health professionals, take COVID seriously,” Dr. Ziad Basyouny said.
