Gary Lee, 33, lost his wallet on Thursday with his driver’s license in Rockaway Beach (New York, USA), becoming a TikTok meme after someone finds her, Insider reports.
A user identified as @senasoup posted a video on this social network showing the card, with the man’s face and a message asking him to contact her to return the lost object.
That was when the recording went viral, Accumulating more than 25 million views and 4 million ‘likes’ in just three days, indicates RT.
Hundreds of people named it Gary Lee and your image as a profile picture in their respective TikTok accounts. Some even pretended to be their relatives or pets, flooding the comments section.

A friend of Lee watched the video and contacted its creator. Then the man made an account on TikTok, @ therealgarylee5, to write to the woman. Shortly afterwards he met her in Manhattan and retrieved her wallet after proving that she was its owner.
“My friend warned me and I couldn’t believe it,” Lee told the American media. “It spread so fast. All other comments were [de] false accounts […] I found it funny that all these people pretended to be me, “he added, adding that he was grateful to have recovered his portfolio with all its contents.
