They got it right!
Former giants Eli Manning, Jessie Armstead and Justin Tuck surprised Michael Strahan on the set of “Good Morning America” on Wednesday by revealing that the team would pull off Strahan’s No. 92 jersey next season.
Strahan’s shirt will be removed on Nov. 28, when the Giants will host the Eagles at 1 p.m. at MetLife Stadium.

Manning, Armstead and Tuck wore Strahan T-shirts to break the news, with the former quarterback jumping out of a huge box while spilling red, white and blue confetti covered the stage.
Strahan, a full-time host of “GMA” since 2016, said he realized “what happens because they would never put on my T-shirt unless there was a reason why they don’t love me so much.”
At first, however, Strahan said he was confused when he was the only one of his “GMA” co-hosts who had no card or indication about the segment that highlighted students returning to college.
During the segment, a box came out of the corner and Manning and his former teammates appeared.
Strahan, the Hall of Fame defensive end who played his entire 15-year career with the Giants and was the captain of the Super Bowl XLII championship team, will join Manning to become the ’11th and 12th T-shirts of the retired Giants.

Manning’s No. 10 will retire against the Falcons on Sept. 26.
“I am just in shock. This is a moment I will always remember, ”Strahan wrote in a tweet, thanking Manning, Armstead, Tuck and his“ GMA ”teammates for“ that amazing surprise ”.
“To the organization and fans of @Giants. We make Metlife Stadium go at 11.28. See you there !! “
Strahan said he was “surprised” that none of the former giants leaked the surprise.

“I just saw Jessie at Jim Foster’s golf tournament the other day … and you didn’t say a word,” Strahan said as the group shared a laugh.
“I just received text messages this morning and I didn’t receive anything,” Strauck added of Tuck.
In a statement, Giants co-owner John Mara said, “Michael Strahan was one of the best players in franchise history. He deserves to have his number removed like other Giants immortals have done, including Mel Hein. , Frank Gifford and Lawrence Taylor “.
