VACU ID for minors or unlicensed people would be available for next week

For the week that the application of Cesco Digital will allow people who do not have a driver’s license or any other identification issued by the state, as well as parents with minors vaccinated against COVID-19 who can access the ‘VACU-ID, reported the chief executive of Innovation and Information, and director of the Office of Innovation and Technology Services (PRITS, for the acronym in English), Enrique Völckers Nin.

“We will be announcing this option next week. We are already in test method,” he said.

The announcement was made by the official while answering questions from the audience during a Facebook Live.

Specifically, Völckers Nin gave the answer about the availability of the service, for what they have called “phase 2”, when a mother questioned him that he did not have access to the QR code of vaccination of their children, minors old and unlicensed.

Currently, there are about 644,497 people who have managed to get their VACU ID out. The official expects the number to increase to one million people as well by next week.

He explained that between 20,000-30,000 people apply for their VACU ID daily through the Cesco DIgital app.

The official acknowledged that many people have trouble getting their QR code to prove they are vaccinated.

“This can happen for several reasons or your vaccine is not logged in yet or your driver’s license name is not the same as your name in the Department of Health or date of birth did not match between the two systems. The Department of Health is working to make this happen, “he said.

He also agreed, at the behest of users, that no staff can be reached to answer their calls.

The service telephone number available through the Department of Health to correct errors is 787-522-3985.

“If they answered the number, but the government does not do that well,” wrote user Ivelisse Villanueva Mercat.

Völckers Nin explained that the system has the capacity to receive 12 calls and that call number 13 is already busy. He reported that they are already working to increase capacity to 30 calls.

The official also commented that, although the person cannot make the complaint, the system notifies Health that the data must be reviewed.

“We already know and send to the Department of Health for this information to be validated. The Department of Health will call for data validation. Be confident that it will be addressed and we are implementing additional actions to address this number of people (in the so-called ) “, he stated.

On the other hand, the director of PRITS asked traders not to make the mistake of trying to read the QR code through the camera of a cell phone. He pointed out that they have to open the Cesco Digital application and look for where it is established that it is the system to be able to read the code.

He detailed that the QR code is encrypted to be read only by the Cesco Digital application.
