LOS ANGELES – After four long months, the Dodgers return to first place in the Western National League.
The Dodgers held a rally on the eighth occasion to come from behind against the Braves and secure a series win in the 4-3 victory on Wednesday at Dodger Stadium. Paired with the Giants ’loss to the Brewers, the Dodgers now have a half-game lead in the NL West standings.
Despite gaining an early lead with Max Scherzer at the mound as he threw six innings without a score, the Dodgers had to advance against the Atlanta Bullring after Brusdar Graterol ceded a two-run homer in the seventh.
The moment he put Los Angeles back in first place came with AJ Pollock on the plate and Justin Turner on second base. Pollock picked the hole in the short and Turner spun around the bases, sliding his head first home.
