Aaron Judge achieves Homer’s milestone in the Yankees victory

ANAHEIM, California. Aaron Judge reached his 30th home game in Wednesday night’s 4-1 win over the Angels and enters the final month of the season as well as he has been all year.

This is due, in part, to the possibility of staying healthy, outside of a COVID-19 IL stage.

“There’s still a lot of work to be done,” the judge said of his production on the plate.

He credited his teammates with reaching out to the base to give him opportunities to drive in races, but acknowledged that he plays a little safer than in years past.

“The most important thing is not to run into too many walls and do stupid things that cause injuries,” the judge said.

The Yankees would like him to continue to be so, as they know what the judge can do when he is in play, and he has reached base in 22 of his last 23 games and has achieved several hits in eight of his last nine.

Gerrit Cole said the judge’s approach to the plate is “proven and true” and that he has the ability to pull the strengths of opposing pitchers with his ability to cover the entire plate and hit all fields.

Aaron Boone put it bluntly: “Let’s not rethink. He is playing very well.
