Dave Roberts, AJ Pollock of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has been out for at least 2-3 weeks with a hamstring injury

Los Angeles Dodgers camper AJ Pollock will miss a “minimum” of two to three weeks after suffering a hamstring strain right into Saturday night’s 6-1 win over the San Francisco Giants, the manager said Dave Roberts.

After doubling in a run in the first inning, Pollock was injured when he tried to steal and slipped uncomfortably at third base. He grimaced and immediately grabbed his right hamstring. He was helped off the field and eventually eliminated from the game.

Roberts said early evidence indicates Pollock suffered from a grade 2 strain.

“I don’t want to speculate. I know it wasn’t good,” he said, adding that Pollock would be reevaluated on Sunday. “Viouslybviament is a great loss in any capacity.”

Roberts said: “He’s a guy you can connect with every day. He hits right, hits left, drives and gets into base. He just added a lot to our ball club. To fill those shoes will be hard. . “

Cody Bellinger replaced Pollock in the midfield and played in midfield, while Chris Taylor moved from the center to the left field.

Pollock, 33, missed 18 games earlier this season due to left hamstring strain. This season he is hitting .296 with 16 homers and 58 high runs.

The Dodgers, who have won 21 of their last 26 games, began to tie for first place with San Francisco in the NL West division.
