Penelope Cruz in radiant white in Venice on a very Hispanic red carpet

In a long, ruffled, white dress, Penélope Cruz has once again dazzled on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival, this time to present “Official Competition” alongside Antonio Banderas and Óscar Martínez.

The Spanish actress opened the contest last Wednesday with “Parallel Mothers” by Pedro Almodóvar, so she has a double option to win the Volpi Cup for best actress.

Banderas and Martínez paraded in the hands of their respective partners, Nicole Kimpel and Mariana Borensztein, as did the film’s directors, Argentines Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat.

Previously, Ester Expósito, in a green dress with rhinestones and feather tail, Jaume Llorente, Eugenia Silva and Mónica Cruz, Penélope’s sister, paraded.

“Official Competition” is a delirious comedy that reflects on egos in the art world and shows the bubbles of the craft.
