Seattle approaches the Wildcard with sweep

PHOENIX – Kyle Seager made a two-run double production that lit a rally in the eleventh inning that gave the Seattle Mariners a 10-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday to complete a series sweep of three games.

The Mariners stretched to five on their winning streak and continued to cut ground in the race for a place in the American League playoffs. Seattle is three games behind Boston for the last ticket as a wild card.

Arizona has lost eight of its last nine games. Seattle improved its mark in extra innings games to 14-4.

Dominican Yohan Ramírez (1-2) threw the tenth blank to score the victory. Taylor Clarke (1-3) charged with defeat.

For the Mariners, the Venezuelan Luis Torrens 1-1.

For the Diamondbacks, Dominican Ketel Mart 5-1, a tow. Venezuelan David Peralta 5-2, one scored and two driven.
