In late July, in response to California demand accusing Activision Blizzard of fostering an environment of harassment and discrimination against employed women, Blizzard announced that he was taking action to remove inappropriate content and references World of Warcraft. Two of these changes arose in an early version of the upcoming 9.1.5 patch, which renames two hits, so they no longer refer to the phrase “bros before hoes” and large testicles.

World of Warcraft has a long and historic history of creating missions and hits that contain puns, puns, or pop culture references, which have not always been to your liking. With scrutiny against Activision Blizzard at the all-time high after the lawsuit and every horrible thing that came after, is a good time to start making changes, even small ones. Shortly after the July announcement, references were made to the above Wow developer Alex Afrasiabi, specifically named in the lawsuit and linked to the infamous BlizzCon “Cosby Suite”, they were removed from the game.

Blizzard’s next goal seems to be names of rational accomplishments. How it is published on the page Frozen veins forum the weekend:

  • “My Sack is Gigantique” has been renamed “My Storage is Gigantique”.
  • “Bros. Before Ho Ho Ho’s, the name has been changed to “Holiday Bromance”.

The first of the two, “My Sack is Gigantique,” involves equipping the “Gigantique” bag of an NPC named Haris Pilton. The second, “Bros. Before Ho Ho Ho, “it’s actually a festive holiday hit in which you have to use the mistletoe on eight Alliance NPCs with the title” Brother. “

Just two small changes, but it’s a start. Patch 9.1.5 is still months away and these changes come from a very early version, so it is possible that more changed missions and achievements will be added to the line upgrade.
