Two alleged members of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) were confiscated through intelligence operations by the National Anti-Maras and Gangs Force (Fnamp) and the Police Intelligence Directorate (Dipol) in the colony April 7th.
Among those captured is Francisco Antonio Mendoza Canals (21), Alias El Rebel, who belonged to the MS for seven years. He is accused of drug trafficking and extorting traders from the sector through death threats.
In investigation files of the Antimaras Force it is detailed that this individual he was imprisoned in the United States for the crime of aggravated assault with a pistol, on September 4, 2019.
The second arrested is Mario Enrique Velásquez Alvarado (31), Alias The Animal, who would be part of the structure for six years, committing the crime of extortion to traders in the sector through death threats.
This subject had a pending arrest warrant for the crime of homicide and was also linked to illicit drug trafficking.
They were both confiscated cash they had obtained through extortion, 186 plastic bags containing dried grass (marijuana), 25 transparent bags containing alleged white powder cocaine, a blue backpack and two mobile phones used to coordinate criminal actions.
The suspects will be sent to the appropriate courts for allegedly responsible for extortion, criminal association and illicit drug trafficking.
