Billionaire Leon Black denied the claim of a former Russian girlfriend who said Black stole her for having sex with Jeffrey Epstein, and called the accusation a “fantastic tale” in a lawsuit. Black claims he has evidence that the 2008 flight never happened, along with an audio recording that allegedly shows Guzel Ganieva, his ex, admitting he never met Epstein. “While a terrifying cauldron starring Jeffrey Epstein may be good for catching tabloid headlines, the overwhelming and irrefutable evidence in this case betrays the absolute falsity of these allegations,” his lawyer wrote, for The Wall Street Journal.
Ganieva accused Black in June of arranging the trip to meet her “best friend,” alleging that he would mark her for drug abuse if he ever revealed the trip. Black resigned as head of Apollo Global Management after an investigation revealed he was paying Epstein more than $ 150 million as a personal consultant.
