The leader indicated that since the time of the social outbreak they have not had any clinical practice and, being already in the middle of the second half of this year, still they are not sure what their process will be like now.

Car stated that Medical students are willing to use their vacation days to attend clinical internships as they understand it as necessary and indispensable for proper professional training.

Clinical practices are essential for students to acquire their learning: they are carried out mainly in municipal hospitals and health facilities, such as surgeries, but these practices were suspended by 100 percent by instruction of the health authority at the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020“, Explained the manager.

However, the clinical field internships of third-, fourth-, and fifth-year students — called “curricular internships” —have not yet been released and authorized by the respective care centers.
