The Dominican Republic will present a sample of the national offering at The Wharf Area Pier in Washington, DC, as part of activities for Hispanic Heritage Month in that city.

The Dominican Embassy in the United States is the coordinator of the exhibition, which has the support of the organization Festa DC, the Mayor’s Office of the city of Washington, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Tourism, Pro Dominicana and the Mayor of the National District.

The Mangu Challenge will be held on Friday, September 10, a transformative event for the iconic Dominican dish and will feature seven Creole restaurants in the Washington and Maryland area, thanks to a collaboration between the embassy and Flavor Fusion Fest .

The main events will be held on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September 2015 at the pier, where several tents will be set up for the exhibition, tasting and sales of national products in which 18 Dominican companies representing agro-industrial sectors such as cigars will participate. , chocolate, coffee, cassava; as well as jewelry, handicrafts and cosmetics.
