Los Mochis, Sinaloa, is arrested for alleged fraud

Hermosillo, Sonora.- In the Mochis, Sinaloa, after intelligence work of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sonora (FGJE), was located and confiscated David Alberto “N.” for the crime of fraud committed harm to 18 people.

Elements of the Ministerial Agency for Criminal Investigation (AMIC), of the FGJE Sonora, in collaboration with his counterparts in Sinaloa, assured the defendant on September 6 and made the transfer by air to Hermosillo .

David Alberto “N.”, 28, listed in criminal case 144/2021 for the crime of fraud committed in grievance of 18 people, was required by the judge once FGJE Sonora staff to present evidence for the order of apprehension.

In October 2020, complaints were filed against Sonora Prosecutor’s Office personnel against those responsible, after several people were defrauded by alleged employers offering work abroad.

The Investigative Trilogy, made up of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, AMIC elements and Expert Services staff, investigated the facts and established that the probable perpetrators opened a company called “Travel Work Canada”.

They rented a premises on Solidarity Boulevard between Isabel La Católica and Manuel León, in the San Javier colony, they even hired commercials on a local radio station where they were promoted to offer work visas to work in Canada.

Some people came in good faith, were cared for by the managers who requested 650 pesos allegedly for the cost of sending, allegedly to the Consulate of Canada in Mexico City, the documentation of the applicants.

Once the application was “approved”, the alleged perpetrators asked for 2,500 pesos for the prospectus’ plane ticket, but on the date the tickets and other formalities would be issued, the alleged employers were no longer presented at the venue. An estimated fraud, so far, of 55 thousand 400 pesos is estimated, with the Investigating Trilogy carrying out the corresponding investigations, with testimonials and expert evidence that led to the identification of the probable perpetrator.

With the evidence presented to the judge, the arrest warrant was sought and obtained against David Alberto “N.” for the crime of fraud, so that the warrant was complied with to proceed in accordance with the provisions of the law.
