The Court of Permanent Attention of the National District imposed three months of pretrial imprisonment as a measure of coercion against expelotero of Great Leagues, Joan Encarnació Santiago, accused to incur in sexual assault against a minor daughter.
The former player will have to serve his sentence at the Correction and Rehabilitation Center (CCR) of Najayo Homes, in the province of San Cristóbal.
According to the details, in May 2021, Encarnación took advantage of the fact that the 11-year-old was sleeping in her room to enter and touch her private parts.
The mother of the minor became a plaintiff.
At the exit of the hearing, relatives of both parties shouted insults at the measure taken by the court.
