A few days after the Horizon Forbidden West debacle, which saw Sony backtrack on its decision not to offer any free upgrade from PS4 to PS5, fans are patiently waiting for more information about the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection, which remastered Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy for the next generation.
Will the title be available for purchase on PC, of course, though, and those who already own the piracy adventures on PS4? The lack of clarification suggests that you will pay the full price, but we will check with Sony and update if we get more information. An official blog post Naughty Dog simply points out that more details will be shared soon.
It’s important to remember that remasters don’t grow on trees, but with the excellent compatibility with the previous version of the PS5, consumer expectations are different today. The Last of Us: Part II was updated to run at 60 frames per second for free, so while it may have taken even more effort to update these titles, Sony will need more charisma than Nathan Drake himself to convince fans to pay back the full price for these adventures.
