Bo Bichette hit a homer in the first inning and connected on a single in the run of the tiebreaker in the seventh, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. he connected his No. 42 home run and the Toronto Tiles kept the New York Yankees at bay with a 6-4 skid. Thursday night for his eighth straight win.
The Tiles completed their first four-game sweep in the Bronx since 2003 and came close to half a game from New York for the final American League wildcard. Toronto has its longest winning streak since an 11-game streak in 2015.

Jose Berríos (11-7) dominated the Yankees until a two-run homer by Anthony Rizzo in the sixth tied at 2. The right pulled out two outs in the seventh before being retired after 109 throws. It was loaded with two races and poncho to eight.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. he connected on a lone home run in the eighth inning and the Miami Marlins defeated the New York Mets 3-2 on Thursday night.
Javier Báez connected on a home run and a double for the Mets, who started the day four games behind the leader of the Eastern Division of the National League, Atlanta, and 4 ½ from the second wild card.
“You just have to come back the next day and try again,” Báez said. “That’s why you go day by day, step by step. It’s all you can control. We’ll see what happens next week.”
Chisholm drove a 97 mph fast ball from Jeurys Family (9-4) to the top deck seats for his fifteenth homer. Chisholm also had a driving roll in the sixth.
“I’ve faced Family before, I know it throws hard,” Chisholm said. “I was just looking for a throw. He picked it up and I got it all.”
