The Archbishop of Santo Domingo, Monsignor Francesc Ozoria Acosta, said “a lot of money” was invested in the Sanctuary of the Holy Christ of Miracles, and that “there will be people who criticize the investment.”
“Here we have invested a lot of effort, a lot of resources, a lot of money. The government has supported us with a lot of money, but without care we have dedicated it to God and an investment in God will always be small,” said Ozoria, who recalled the three presidents who committed themselves to the construction of this Sanctuary.
On the possible criticisms of the high investment made, the priest recalled that not only here are works dedicated to God and set as an example the city of Rome, in Italy.
“Surely there will be people who criticize the investment that has been made in this Shrine and I tell you, it has been little, because for God a lot is invested and we are doing it, and a lot of people in history have done it. There are monuments in which if you have invested, in Rome, Europe, a lot of money has been invested in God, in God you have to invest, “Ozoria urged.
On the other hand, in addition to thanking the government for the contribution, he had words in this same tone with the former senator of Monte Plata and current secretary general of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Charlie Mariotti.
“I want to thank him very much, he took this project into his own hands,” Ozoria commented.
