Vladimir after the Triple Crown in LA

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. he arrived in the Major Leagues with huge expectations for his talent, as well as the pedigree of being the son of the Hall of Fame member of the same name.

The great season that the young Dominican is having with the Tiles has helped Toronto to be in the middle of a fight for one of the Wildcards of the American League. And in his battle for the Most Valuable Player in the American League with the Japanese Shohei Ohtani, one element could be in his favor: A possible triple-beating crown at the Young Circuit.

It’s true that batting averages, homers and pushes don’t carry the same weight as before, but it’s still a huge success to be a leader in each of these three categories in the National or American League — especially considering the huge talent in the international plan between the 30 equipment of Great Leagues.

Miguel Cabrera (Tigers of 2012) is the only player who has done so in the last 53 years, but Guerrero – who has been compared to the Venezuelan at times – has chances. Here’s a look at their progress:

Warrior Thursday: From 5-1, 1 CE against the Yankees

Guerrero’s last 10 games: PRO of .405, 6 HR, 9 CE

Warrior Friday: Against the Orioles

average: 319, first in the American (advantage of four points on Michael Brantley)

quadrangular: 42, tied for second place (to an Ohtani)

companies: 100, fourth in the American (four behind the Venezuelan Salvador Pérez and the Cuban José Abreu

Guerrero not only fought for the Triple Crown of the American League, but could also become the first hitter with this feat in both leagues in 65 years (Mickey Mantle, 1956).

average: Second in MLB (Trea Turner’s points)

quadrangular: Tied in second place (to an Ohtani)

companies: Fourth in MLB (four behind Pérez and Abreu)
