They capture a man accused of raping his 14-year-old niece in the capital

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras.-A man accused of raping his 14-year-old niece was captured in the capital on Thursday.

The report of the Police Investigation Directorate (DPI) details that the suspect was arrested during an operation carried out in the residential Vila Els Tulipans in the Central District.

Weeks ago, the Department of Special Crimes of the DPI he had received a complaint against the 47-year-old electrical engineer, originally from the municipality of Soledad, El Paradís, eastern part of Honduras, and resident in Tegucigalpa.

He kept his victim threatened

The suspect, who was not identified, is being investigated for sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault and aggravated rape.

According to the record held by the authorities, the man began sexually abusing his niece when she was just five years old. To keep her from saying anything kept her threatened.

The alleged rapist was already made available to the competent courts.
