Cristiano Ronaldo scores two goals when he returns to Manchester United

The Portuguese superstar rejoined the Juventus club this summer. He scored 118 goals in 292 games during his previous six-year spell with Manchester United before leaving for Real Madrid in 2009 for what was then a world record.

In the first half of his second debut, the 36-year-old delighted home fans, making a bouncing shot from young Manchester United superstar Mason Greenwood.

In real Ronaldo form, he ran to the corner of Old Trafford to perform his now famous “Siuuuu” celebration.

His debut took a turn after the break, but Javier Manquillo equalized for Newcastle after a quick counterattack.

Still, Ronaldo proved again why they brought him back to Manchester, scoring his second goal of the match with a powerful low end to beat United again.

Portugal’s teammate Ronaldo Bruno Fernandes extended Manchester United’s lead with a thunderous throw about 30 meters from goal.

The hottest ticket in town

It was the game that all Manchester United fans wanted to see: the return of Ronaldo.

The T-shirts with his name and the famous No. 7 had flown off the racks and the stands at Old Trafford were full of fans waiting for a glimpse of the five-time Golden Ball winner.

The excitement increased when, an hour before the launch, it was announced that Ronaldo would start.

The roar that greeted him on the pitch before the pitch almost lifted the roof of the famous stadium and Ronaldo’s first touches on Manchester United’s red set were applauded as if he had scored.

The fans only had to wait until just before the break to get what they had come to see: Ronaldo scored his club again.
