Kany García: “If I were born again … I want to take my wife’s hand and make my way”

Defending and celebrating the first cover of a gay couple in People magazine in Spanish, Puerto Rican singer Kany Garcia was proud of her sexual orientation and argued that she would be born again would like the same.

The Puerto Rican singer get married in December 2019 with his partner, Jocelyn Trochez.

The couple took the cover of the famous magazine People en Espanyol this September, to share stories from home and celebrate their love.

On the digital cover, published in video form, García and Trochez are seen sharing a tender kiss between laughter and hugs.

“As if beautiful things are no longer happening to me, today @Peopleenespanol gives me this beautiful cover with my wife! Love has always come to save me from any darkness,” the singer wrote.

According to People, the couple talked about the path to acceptance and the new member of their family, a dog named Dante.

“Thank you @peopleenespanol for being part of the path that is committed to inclusion. And to you @kanygarcia for stating that holding hands is better walking,” Trochez posted.

There are thousands of congratulatory comments in the various posts, but there are also people who criticized the exhibition and the gay relationship.

Faced with this, Kany this Saturday posted some reflections on his Instagram: “Thank you @peopleenespanol for your first cover of a gay couple. They have no idea what this means for every child in our community, many of whom sometimes they are pointed and all, discriminated and marginalized “.

He then added: “You have to have the ball hard to put up with hate-laden cues. I comment on all this because it’s enough to read so many comments full of that same hatred under our cover, to understand what we’re missing for learn and make visible, but so have you taken us by the hand and bet on love as the best shield “.

The 38-year-old performer pointed out that “I receive daily letters from people who practically suffocate from those of so much discrimination and running over. I hug them, I read them, I feel them and I always carry with me a piece of their pain.”

After proclaiming that he is happy with his sexual condition, he wished “deeply that our new generation lives without fear and this is the only way to achieve it; being irreverent and brave.”
