The song “Bitch”, which the Colombian J Balvin recorded with the Dominican urban exponent Tokischa, has sparked strong controversy in Colombia, even among his own fans, the Colombian newspaper El Heraldo reported on Saturday.
The issue aroused criticism from the public by considering it too offensive and denigrating for women.
The video clip shows women disguised as dogs, suggestive dances and multiple sexual references, as well as phrases such as “I am a street dog with the Popola breed”, among others, highlighted The Herald.
On social media the avalanche of questioning was not long in coming.
“Bitch” is part of the 24-song “Josep” album, which emphasizes her personal essence.
The album, released on Friday under the Latin Universal Music label, is the fifth studio album by José Álvaro Osorio Balvin, his real name.
Tokischa is in the middle of a controversy in the Dominican Republic for his explicit lyrics, especially in the songs “Gossa” and “Linda”, the latter with the Spanish singer Rosalía and in his video share a kiss singing the phrase: “Friends who kiss are the best company.”
