HOLLYWOOD, Florida – As many expected, Vitor Belfort pushed Evander Holyfield away with ease.
The former UFC champion only needed less than two minutes to send Holyfield, 58, to the main heavyweight boxing event of the Triller Fight Club Legends II. The official stop reached the 1:49 mark of the first round. It was a TKO victory for Belfort.
Triller Fight Club Legends II took place Saturday night at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The main card was transmitted for pay-per-view.
As soon as the bell rang, the gloves rang and the action began at once. Holyfield pressed the Brazilian and got a good left hook. Shortly afterwards, Belfort shook Holyfield with his right hand and made him hesitate. Belfort pressured Holyfield and overthrew him. Holyfield got up quickly, but was quickly put back in with his right hand.
Holyfield continued after his second demolition to be greeted by a rain of Belfort punches. The referee immediately stopped the fight as Holyfield was clearly injured.

Holyfield took the fight at short notice, replacing Oscar De La Hoya, who was forced out of combat with Belfort after being hospitalized by COVID-19.
Holyfield had not fought in a decade. The last time he competed was at the age of 48 when he defeated Brian Nielsen via TKO. The multiple-time heavyweight boxing champion is just over a year away from his 60th birthday.
Holyfield disagreed with the halt of his struggle:
“I think it was a bad call,” Holyfield told the show. “I don’t think the referee should have stopped the fight so quickly.”
Meanwhile, Belfort, 44, returned to competition for the first time since his TKO loss to Lyoto Machida in May 2018 under MMA. Belfort has only competed in professional boxing once after defeating Josemario Neves in 2006.
Belfort called Jake Paul in his post-fight interview alongside Triller Fight Club CEO Ryan Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh offered the original $ 25 million offer so Paul could fight up to $ 30 million during the integrated interview.
