The loss on Saturday night against Stanford at home was a disgrace to the USC football team. The Trojans fell 1-1 a year, 0-1 to the Pac-12, with a 42-28 defeat against the Cardinal. It provoked a storm of criticism for the show during and after the match.
Among those who took a turn in criticizing the game of the team and head coach Clay Helton is a familiar face: former USC quarterback Matt Leinart.
It didn’t stop.
Leinart posted his frustrations during the second half of the loss, as Stanford made clear what he wanted to do against this Trojan team, dominating both sides of the ball and establishing a 42-13 lead before USC. move the ball and get a little closer to the scoreboard in junk time.
The former quarterback expressed his thoughts after watching Oregon win Ohio State while working with the Fox University football crew. He made a very clear and impossible point to ignore about the current state of ducks and Trojans:
This is bad. Today I saw Orgeon up close and they dropped the hammer on SC. Two programs that go in different directions.

Leinart is not wrong and there is nothing wrong with former players expressing their frustrations like that. There are issues with this program and it starts at the top with Helton and his staff.
Once thought of as a team that could get to the Pac-12 title game, this performance by the Trojans shows that there is a lot of work to be done … and that the work is NOT LIKELY to be done.
It could really get worse before it gets better in Los Angeles.
