DETROIT – Welcome to Sunday, Motown.
Autumn is less than two weeks away, but it will definitely feel like summer today. It gets hotter and wetter. Showers and storms also move. The last full week of summer will also be warmer than average.
Sunday morning will be partly cloudy and warm. Temperatures start in the 60s and 70s.
The sunrise is at 7:10 p.m.
The Detroit Lions will host the San Francisco 49ers at Ford Field at 1 p.m. We will have dry weather for the queues, but the journey home will be wet, especially for any football fan heading north and driving closer to sunset.
On Sunday afternoon it will be partly sunny, busy and relatively hot. Temperatures reach the mid-80s and above. There are scattered showers from 2 p.m. Chances are that there will be heavier, more widespread wet and stormy weather in Motor City and north of Eight Mile Road after 5pm and into the evening.
No rain has passed since Monday. The day will be mostly sunny and warm. Highs close to 80 degrees or just a little higher.
Announcements
On Tuesday it will steam again, again, with sun and clouds and the mercury will return to the mid and upper 80s. There are scattered showers and storms.
Wednesday will be hot with a chance of showers. It will be partly sunny with highs in the 80s low and middle.
Thursday and Friday will be partly sunny and warm. Highs close to 80 degrees.
