A “Destiny 2” warning regarding Osiris booty cultivation trials

The Osiris tests of Destiny 2 are here and overall it is very good. Or at least much better than it was, which seems to be the case for players with lower and upper skills in different ways.

Although I think there is at least one aspect of the new card and test boot system that some people seem unclear about, as I certainly didn’t get it at the time, although technically, the game explains it if reading the small print.

It’s about how cards, reputation, and booty interact.

If you try to go Flawless in Trials, nothing has changed. If a loss is counted on your card, you will need to reset it and try again. This is.

But for the rest of the casual gamers who just want a test booty, there are actually strong incentives May reset the card and I’ve heard of people doing it once they’ve got seven wins because they weren’t clear that it really isn’t supposed to.

Test cards no longer count losses and count up to 7 wins and 20 rounds won. Wins rounds play statistically on the reputation of the tests, 5 points per round won, so in 20 rounds won on a card, that’s why you get 100 reps per patch, win or loss. This is an engram every 3-6 games or so, depending on your rank. If you reset this, it will go down again and you will have to start building up to 20. So it’s not great.

But after that, you can take the time you need to get seven wins. But here, if you want farm loot, this is not where you have to stop. And this is where you should read the small print on the card that says “Every win to seven wins gives significantly improved rewards.” And yes they do mean significantly get well.

On a Flawless card, each additional lossless loss can result in additional Adept weapon drops. But even on a normal card, even if you’re between 7 and 50, getting extra wins at 7 wins will provide you with cores and prisms, but also occasionally full test engrams and full up fragments.

On the other hand, if you reset your card, all you are doing is losing all the representative gains from the snowball and eliminating that extra loot opportunity. I admit that matches after 7 wins seem harder than the ones below, and yet I think this is because several newer players could reset their card instead of winning at 7 wins.

In short, the not more the reason you would ever reset the card after 7 wins is if your main goal is to go flawless. But if you can give up the chance of Adept’s loot and your main goal is simply to get as many “things” of trials as possible, get a seven-win card and stay there all weekend as it is. the way forward, as you will get rewards increase significantly from here, both in terms of engrams and final materials. And that’s how, suddenly, testing becomes one of the most rewarding activities in the game, when previously it was one of the least.

Hopefully this will make some things clear. Bungie has explained all of this effectively, but if you missed it, I wouldn’t blame you, so here you have it.
