Shot woman injured by police during Northwest Side nightclub shooting, according to SAPD

SAINT ANTHONY – A woman was injured and three people are still on the run after a shootout with officers at a Northwest Side nightclub, according to San Antonio police.

Filming took place at the Burnhouse Night Club, located at block 4500 of N Loop 1604 W., around 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

Police said an altercation broke out at the club and security officers asked three people to leave. The group then entered another altercation in the parking lot.

Security officers had asked police to help deal with a car accident that occurred in front of the club, officers said. At that moment, the three people got in their car and went to the front of the club.

Police said when officers approached, the three people fired guns and fired at least one shot at them.

Officers set fire to and hit a woman in the shoulder, who was sitting in her car, and was trapped in the crossfire, police said.

The woman was taken to University Hospital by EMS and is in stable condition, SAPD said.

Announcements

Police say no officers were injured during the shooting.

The three people left the scene in a silver Mercedes and remain at large, officers said. The investigation continues.
