An American lawyer for British Prince Andreu on Monday vehemently rejected allegations in a civil lawsuit against a woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 17, And questioned whether the case could even be presented.
At a hearing in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, the prince’s lawyer, Andrew Brettler, also said plaintiff Virginia Giuffre appeared to have waived in 2009 her right to sue Queen Elizabeth of England’s second son in a settlement for another lawsuit.
Giuffre, 38, he has said Andrew’s abuses happened about two decades ago, More or less when financier Jeffrey Epstein sexually abused her. Andrew, the Duke of York, has denied the allegations.
“This is an unfounded, unfeasible and potentially illegal lawsuit”Brettler, a Los Angeles attorney, said in a court hearing over the phone.
“There has been a conciliation agreement that the plaintiff has signed in a previous action that releases the Duke and others from any and all possible liability.”, Brettler added.

Brettler also said that Giuffre had not properly notified Andrew in accordance with UK law and the Hague Convention, although he left a copy of the citation on August 27 to a police officer which guarded the prince’s house in Windsor, England.
Giuffre’s lawyer denied that claim. “We notified you correctly,” David Boies said to District Judge Lewis Kaplan in Manhattan.
Kaplan ordered Boies to propose alternative means of notifying Andreu, and rejected Brettler’s argument that the procedures of the Hague Convention had to be “exhausted” before the Americans applied. The next hearing is scheduled for October 13th.
Andreu, 61 years old, he is an old friend of Epstein’s, A sex offender who committed suicide in a Manhattan prison in August 2019 after U.S. prosecutors accused him of sexually exploiting dozens of girls and women.

The prince resigned from his royal duties and watched as charities and the like distanced themselves from him after he in November 2019 granted an interview with BBC about his relationship with Epstein, Which is now considered a public relations disaster.
Giuffre’s lawsuit puts Andres in a difficult position because she could be declared in rebellion and owe damages if he ignores her, or face years of legal battles defending in court.
According to the demand of August 9, Andres forced Giuffre to have non-consensual sex in the London house of | Maxwell, British society and former partner of Epstein.
The complaint also says that Andrew abused Giuffre at Epstein’s mansion in Manhattan and on a private island which he owned in the US Virgin Islands.
In a letter dated September 6, a lawyer for the prince in London suggested that Giuffre’s lawsuit could be dismissed because she signed a disclaimer in 2009 in another case in Florida, which covered “claims against people associated with Jeffrey Epstein.”
