As you probably already know, Samsung today released the beta program One UI 4.0 for the Galaxy S21 series. And luckily, customers in the U.S. and Europe (or at least Germany) don’t have to wait any longer to be able to pull out Android 12 and One UI 4.0 beta for a test. It is currently live, allowing fans to try out all the new features and provide valuable feedback to Samsung’s software development team.

For now, beta One UI 4.0 firmware is only available for the flagship Galaxy S21 series, but other devices are likely to join the beta program before the end of the year.

A 4.0 user interface perfects the user experience with new UI enhancements and introduces a handful of new features, some of which have been inspired by Android 12. There’s a new one “Laboratories” advanced feature that allows you to use all apps in split and pop-up display modes, and of course Samsung added new animations (and upload animations), more privacy controls, some camera user interface changes and much more.

We’ve highlighted 18 new changes to One UI 4.0 beta on camera and you can check out the video below and the full change log for more information. We will continue to use Android 12 and One UI 4.0 beta for the next few weeks and we will let you know more features and changes soon. Stay tuned and feel free to let us know in the comments section if you plan to participate in the Galaxy S21 series beta One UI 4.0 in the US or Europe.
