The Apple Watch Series 7 looks different from its predecessors. Now the screen is practically at the edge of the box. This means a new and stylish look for some watch faces.
The frames around the screen are thinner by just 1.7mm and the screen mode always on is 70% brighter. Apple claims you can add 50 percent more text to the screen than the 6 series. The new screen also means new ways to interact, with a full keyboard that supports sliding.

There is a new set of clock faces to take advantage of the larger screen, including a more modular clock face. And a bigger screen doesn’t mean it’s more delicate: Apple claims to be crack-resistant and now has an IP6X rating, which means it should be able to dive into the sand on the beach a little better than will make the water.
The small Apple Watch went from 40mm to 41mm and the big watch from 44mm to 45mm. This makes these watches the biggest Apple watches to date. In fact, the small Apple Watch is now only 1mm smaller than the larger one introduced in 2014.
Like the 6 Series, the new 7 Series will offer up to 18 hours of battery life and will include a charger that will be charged via USB-C instead of USB-A. The aluminum variation will come in five total colors, the usual black, gold, blue and red, as well as a dark green that feels synchronized with the new, sturdy backing.
In addition to updates to the Apple Watch premium, Apple has also added some new features to Watch OS 8. Outdoor cycling will now have better support and should pause training automatically when you stop at a light or just to take a break. Fall support will also appear in workouts, so if you wreck your bike or work poorly during a brutal HIIT workout, your watch will be able to contact emergency services.
The Watch Series 3 remains close to $ 199 and the Watch SE will be available for $ 279, while the new Series 7 will start at $ 399.
