The teams of the Air and Coastal Group of the National Civil Police reported on the finding of 11 containers floating in the ocean, in front of the Barra de Santiago, Ahuachapán, which are now in custody.
Authorities confirmed that the containers were being transported by a vessel bound for Port de Acajutla and due to the high tide, it lost 21 containers, of which 11 have been located.
The PNC called on the population not to approach the containers, because they do not know if their contents are dangerous substances, at this time they are coordinating with the vessel and the Ministry of Environment to establish the possible content risk.
