The brother may have avoided the death by COVID of the anti-vaxx leader

Hai Shaulian’s brother, an Israeli vaccine activist who died Monday of COVID-19, said Hai’s death could have been avoided if he had gotten the sting.

In an interview granted on Tuesday to N12, Avi Shaulian lamented the death of his brother who refused to receive the vaccine against COVID-19.

“I could have seen how their children got married, their grandchildren got married,” Avi said about Hai. “He was too stubborn,” he added.

“My mother is devastated, the family is broken,” Shaulian said. “Save your lives, think of your families, parents, children.”

When asked if he was trying to convince his brother to get vaccinated, Shaulian said he was “trying to convince him … there was no way to change his mind.”

“He refused to be ventilated,” Shaulian said. “Until the last day, he believed his path was the right one. We tried to explain it in the countless arguments we had.”

In a video posted on social media by Hai Shaulian while he was admitted to Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, he claimed that “Jerusalem police tried to poison him.”

Hai then asked his followers on social media not to get vaccinated against the virus under the headline: “There is no epidemic: the vaccine is unnecessary and dangerous.”

Shaulian cried and asked all unvaccinated Israelis to be vaccinated.

“Thank you, but you have to admit your mistake,” Shaulian told the unvaccinated. “You still have a chance to fix yourself and save yourself.”

“Avoid the suffering of your loved ones,” Shaulian begged. “We only have one soul, take care of it as best you can,” he concluded.
