Reba McEntire he received cat-in-a-tree treatment from an Oklahoma fire department, except that the trunk he had climbed was actually a fairly old building with a fitted staircase.
The country’s singer was one of seven people rescued on Tuesday by Atoka authorities, OK. Reba and a friend were touring a historic site (the building is at least 100 years old) when it partially collapsed inside.
Director of Emergency Management Travis Mullins he tells us … the building was in the process of being renovated when this happened: the dilapidated stairs were already planned for replacement. No word on why anyone was let in, if at all.
Close the call for @reba in Atoka, Oklahoma, Tuesday (14/9/21) I’m glad she and her boyfriend Rex Linn are fine!
As he walked through an old building, a staircase collapsed. They were among seven people inside. The best of Atoka came to the rescue.

Anyway, Reba and colleagues. they were, fortunately, right on the second floor when the stairs collapsed … leaving them trapped up there and demanding a rescue of stairs to the old one. The video of the incident shows firefighters safely driving her and others out the window.
Reba and companions. Most were fine … one person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. After the fact, officials said not only did the stairs on the second floor fall, but those leading to the third floor also fell … trapping others higher up at the time.
Obviously, this could have been much worse than it turned out … especially for Reba. In fact, she is a survivor.
