Deathloop is now available and is receiving good reviews for its unique loop mechanic and the creative freedom of its mechanics. But on the PC, Deathloop is being hit by fans who are upset with stuttering issues.
On Steam, Deathloop has a mixed score with approximately 2,763 comments. Many of the most prominent reviews complain about the stuttering of frame rate, poor optimization, and other issues, most of which refer to Denuvo anti-piracy software.
DRM software is famous for causing technical problems in PC games. Dishonored 2 suffered similar problems until Bethesda removed the software. Now he is back in full force with Deathloop.
IGN contacted Bethesda about plans to fix the problem, but received no response. This morning, in a joke on the Reddit post, a Bethesda-style user appeared to confirm that a solution is being prioritized.
“Hello everyone, I am one of the DEATHLOOP community managers and while these burgers look fantastic, in terms of performance, we know that some PC users have stuttering issues in DEATHLOOP,” the user wrote MortalEm Emperor. “Right now we are actively researching the topic as a priority and we will update you with more specific information as soon as possible.”
Once the stuttering issues are fixed, fans will find a spectacular immersive simulation that should be firmly in the Game of the Year conversation for 2021. Our review called it a “new high watermark” for Arkane and for developers of similar games.
