Income Tax Department (IT) officials have conducted “surveys” at six Bombay sites and some other sites related to Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who recently won praise for his humanitarian act during the Covid-induced closure.
Department sources confirmed that “surveys” at six sites linked to the actor are ongoing.
Official sources said the action is taking place in metropolitan city and Lucknow locations.
It was not immediately clear whether the action was taking place at Sood’s residence as well.
A real estate deal is under the department’s scanner, they said.
Incidentally, the IT department’s action came days after the filmmaker had a meeting with AAP convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, who appointed him as brand ambassador. of the NCT government tutoring program for school students.
