The New Mexico Department of Health conducts active research on positive patients, which includes tracking contacts and tampons of symptomatic people who have had contact with positive cases.
All new Mexicans must work together to curb the spread of COVID-19. Wear a mask when in public and around others. If you are sick, stay home as long as possible.
New Mexicans who report symptoms of COVID-19 infection, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, repeated chills, chills, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea and / or loss of taste or odor should call your healthcare provider or NMDOH COVID-19 (1-855-600-3453) immediately.
The Department of Health strongly encourages the following groups to take the test:
· Symptomatic people with symptoms of COVID-19 fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, repeated chills, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea and / or loss of taste or smell;
· Asymptomatic people who have close contacts or household members of people in a period of infection who have already tested positive for coronavirus;
· Asymptomatic people living or working in environments such as long-term care centers and collective homes;
· Patients scheduled for surgery and the provider has advised them to have the test before the procedure.
They can also call new Mexicans who have unrelated health questions or concerns 833-551-0518 or visit NewMexico.gov, which is regularly updated as the sole source of information for affected families, workers, and others and seeks more information about COVID-19.
