A couple who had been on the run since 2013 were arrested Tuesday afternoon on the PR-130 highway in front of Hatillo High School, police said.
The detainees were identified by authorities as Milagros Rodríguez Vázquez, 38, who was driving a Volkswagen Jetta car and her husband Abbid Neus Batista, 33, both residents of the Bayaney neighborhood in Hatillo.
Both had arrest warrants for fugitives, issued by Judge Heidi Kiess Rivera of Arecibo Court.
By 2013, the couple committed the crime of misappropriation, fraud, stolen vehicle and escalation.
They were admitted to the Regional prison of Bayamón.
