A duck hunter wanted to find himself in a double murder killed on the lake

A “armed and dangerous” Tennessee man was found dead Saturday, who was wanted in connection with the double murder of two duck hunters.

David Vowell, 70, was found dead in Lake Reelfoot, near the site of the double homicide, according to ABC11.

Chance Black, 26, and Zachery Grooms, 25, were in Northwest Tennessee Lake Monday when Vowell approached them and argued, prosecutors told ABC.

It is unclear whether duck hunters had a previous relationship.

Vowell allegedly opened fire and killed the duo, officials said.

He fled on foot from the shooting scene, leaving behind his boat and his car.

Vowell’s body was found Saturday afternoon. An autopsy will be performed to determine how he died, according to the local station

On a Twitter publish last week, authorities said they were painting the large remote, swampy area near the Missouri and Kentucky borders for the suspected double-murder gunman.
