Phelps also admitted that he told police officers who handled the case that if they had not come to his home, he did not know what would have happened, according to the Justice Department.
Phelps’ attorney, Scott B. Saul, said Tuesday in a statement that his client “is firm that she has just been miserable, as she was going through a tumultuous time in her life and never intended to lead to end their threats “.
He added that “it has been important for Ms Phelps to demonstrate her acceptance of responsibility when she begins to atone for her aberrant actions,” but that she “plans to demonstrate significant mitigating circumstances” in an attempt to obtain an “equitable” sentence. of the judge handling your case.
