A disturbing video emerges from Canada showing police officers assaulting and aiming a taser at a young man to play ice hockey on an outdoor court in Alberta.
A viral video shows Calgary police turning off an ice hockey game on an outdoor court. Police say the game violated public health orders. 40 people were reported at the Southwood community rink and skatepark.
According to the Alberta government’s website: “Outdoor team sports should also be limited to 10 people or less and a distance of 2 meters should be maintained at all times.”
Two officers try to capture the man, who refuses to obey police orders to get to the ground. An officer is caught in a video on the hockey player’s knee, but he remains standing on the ice. During the fight, one of the police officers falls to the ground.
When someone asks why the officer has his hand on a gun, the cop replies, “It’s not a gun, it’s a taser and he’s under arrest, and I have the authority to use force to make an arrest.”
As he pointed to the taser directly aimed at the man, the police shouted, “Come to the ground! Go to the ground! Go to the ground before I go to make you a taser!”
Spectators urge the man to get out of the ice and surrender to the police.
An officer appears to be trying to put a man in control, but fails. Police officers try to bring the man to the ground, but he still stands in one place and asks, “Why should I go to the ground?” One of the officers kicks the man several times in the groin area.

The officers finally have the man’s hands on their backs and he says, “I just asked you what you were doing to that little boy.”
The “little boy” could be referring to a 12-year-old Rayan Sanoubar, who was told by police that he had stopped skateboarding in the same park.
“A peace officer came sitting in that car and he came out and … he told the skateboards we had to go and [were] we were not allowed to be there and we all refused and asked for a backup so that other policemen could come, ”Sanoubar told Global News.
“They had him on the ground for six minutes, just frozen, cutting his skates with a knife,” Sanoubar said. “They arrested him and threatened us, saying, ‘We’ll give you tickets if you don’t leave.’
Authorities dit a 21-year-old man was charged with obstructing an agent, resisting arrest and violating the public health law.
Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi said Friday, “If you see flagrant violations happening, you should call it. It doesn’t mean that if a random hockey game starts on the court and breaks down quickly, you’ll be calling to the police – If you see people putting others at risk, you should call. “
“There are no quick and difficult rules about how many people can be on the track … but you’ll know when you see it,” Nenshi added.
The names “Ocean” and “Orca” can be heard in the video. The young detainee is allegedly 21 years old ocean Wiesblatt, according to the founder of Rebel News Ezra Levant. Ocean Wiesblatt plays for the Portage Terriers, a Canadian ice hockey team “A”.
Wiesblatt comes from a family of hockey players; his three brothers, including the Orca Wiesblatt, play junior hockey. Another brother, Ozzy Wiesblatt, is an NHL prospect who was drafted in the first round of the 2020 draft by the San Jose Sharks in October.
The Wiesblatt brothers and their deaf mother appeared in a SportsNet video last December where the Calgary family talked about how hockey helped them overcome adversity.
