Someone inside the house called 911 to report the fire, officials said.
Firefighters battled the blaze for hours before salting it under control.
Orange Fire Rescue County tweeted, “All occupants have been reported safely and no injuries have been reported.”
Grayson’s wife, Dr. Dena Grayson, later tweeted, “Thank you for your support, friends. I’m grateful everyone (including the pups) is safe. All of our clothes burned, but again, more of a year that I don’t need a business suit because of the pandemic, so I guess there is ”.
Announcements
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
It is not known if Grayson, a Democrat who held the seat of the Florida District 9 Congress between 2013 and 2017, was home at the time of the fire.
