The island state of Tasmania has banned the entry of people directly linked to the most recent cases in Victoria, and has pointed out the places where the cases were confirmed.
The move was taken after Tasmania declared Greater Sydney and the Wollongong area south of Sydney as medium-risk areas and requires travelers to undergo a 14-day quarantine on arrival, while it is prohibited the entry of people from the beaches of northern Sydney.
