A Pereirano was the designer of J Balvin’s luxury Ferrari – Other Cities – Colombia


Earlier this year, the paisa singer José Osorio, better known as J Balvin, toured the streets of the Castilla neighborhood, in Commune 5 of Medellín, the place where he spent most of his childhood and adolescence. But as if the presence of the world-renowned artist was not in itself striking, Balvin arrived in a yellow Ferrari car.

This same act was what appeared in the video of one of his most recent musical releases: the song ‘Ma G’, The shooting took place precisely in the capital of Antioquia, being this luxurious Ferrari the first vehicle of this type that rolled on Colombian soil. This Ferrari is a supercar listed as one of the highest range of the prestigious Italian company, standing even above models like the Ferrari 812 Superfast. Additionally, it is so unique that Balvin owns one of the 499 models that were manufactured in the world.

However, this is not the first luxury vehicle the singer has acquired, as it has a collection that includes a Ferrari F40, a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and a Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

From Colombia to the world

Little was said about this interlocutory in Colombia until it appeared in Balvin’s video. It recently came to light that a Pereirano, Edwin Osorio, be in charge of the interior design of the exclusive car. Edwin Osorio came to the house of Maranello as chief designer thanks to his knowledge and experience in the industry: graduated from the Popular Catholic University of Risaralda as a Professional in Industrial Project Management and later specialized in vehicles at the European Institute of Design in Turin, Italy, this is where he started working at Ferrari.

His experience includes the design centers of Lancia and Fiat, the JAC Italy Design Center and the company Giugiaro, which included him in projects aimed at the Volkswagen Group.

Osorio is currently working as an interior design leader at Great Wall, a Chinese carmaker, but upon seeing the video of a compatriot of his, J Balvin, where he appears one of the cars he himself helped design along with his team, filled with “a lot of pride”, Said the Colombian in an interview with RCN News.

J Balvin acquired the vehicle in June last year however it is unknown how much he paid for it, since although the act is valued in the market in 3.5 million dollars, the model that acquired the Colombian artist is of second.
Still, Balvin becomes one of the few owners in the world of the exclusive vehicle, among them is also the Canadian rapper Drake.
